How to view as a customer in the customer account portal?

Introduction:

Please use this guide if you want to view a subscription or customer account portal from a specific customer’s perspective.

Prerequisites:

• Make sure you have the admin portal open on Smartrr for the specific merchant.
• Open up this Loom video if you need a visual walkthrough.

Steps:

1. (On merchant’s site) Create an account on the merchant’s site using YOUR Smartrr credentials (e.g. michelle@smartrr.com).
2. (Merchant’s site) Log out of the account you made.
3. (On our Admin portal) Click on Customers on the lefthand navigation bar.
4. (Admin portal) Enter a specific customer’s id or email using the filter search. Alternatively, you can click on the customer ids displayed on the front page.
5. (Admin portal) On the right, there should be a couple of options. Click on View portal as customer , and this should open another tab with the merchant’s site.
6. (Merchant’s site) Login with your OWN Smartrr credentials (remember the account you made in step 1?), and you should be redirected to the customer’s view.

Conclusion:

Now you should be able to view the customer account portals on the merchant sites!
